Our business is primarily the production of pure line South African Boer
Goats, with concentration on the male line side. Our goal is produce 15 –
20 good herd sires per year and supply our wether customers with high
quality competitive major show type wethers.
One of our herd sires, CBC P361 Big Easy (brother of Freightrain) recently
sired the Reserve Grand Champion wether at the San Antonio Stock Show.
We sell our wethers through the Lone Star Elite Jackpot Organization and
through several premium wether sales in Sonora (Morriss Ranch Co.) and in
Eldorado TX. This year our wethers will be sold at four sales in TX. and
some to select customers in the South east by private treaty.
We maintain a herd of wether style females, some pure breed and some cross
bred solely for the production of wethers. Our lines are known to be
correct on their feet and legs and are heavily muscled. This is the
influence of the Dirk Louw lines from Namibia.
Our herd sires are currently standing at stud at Schafer Ranch in Eldorado,
TX, Morris Ranch Co in Sonora, L and L Farms in Hallotsville TX.
CBC is one of a select group of breeders that has supported the Lone Star
Elite Jackpot Show and Sales. Last year this organization returned over 38
thousand dollars to young people who showed their animals at the Jack Pot
show in Snyder TX on Nov 19. This year’s Lone Star Elite Jackpot show
will return over 50K to young persons showing their animals. Only animals
that are purchased and bred by the Lone Star Elite Jackpot members are
eligible for this show.
